Reports To: Lead Teacher / Center Administrator

Position Summary

The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in implementing daily classroom instruction, supervision, and care for children ages 6 weeks–12 years (depending on assignment). This position helps maintain compliance with Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) licensing requirements while promoting a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

    •    Assist with daily lesson plan implementation (including STEM-based and developmentally appropriate activities)

    •    Supervise children at all times in accordance with ratio requirements

    •    Support classroom management and positive behavior strategies

    •    Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and daily care routines

    •    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment

    •    Communicate professionally with families through Brightwheel and in-person updates

    •    Support children with IEPs, speech delays, sensory needs, or behavioral plans as directed

    •    Participate in required professional development and staff trainings

Qualifications

    •    High School Diploma or GED required

    •    CDA or Early Childhood coursework preferred

    •    Ability to obtain BCI/FBI background check (ODJFS codes required)

    •    CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

    •    Ability to meet physical demands (lifting up to 40 lbs, active supervision)

Preferred Skills

    •    Experience in childcare or early childhood education

    •    Familiarity with Step Up To Quality standards

    •    Experience supporting children with special needs


 Reports To: Center Director / Administrator

Position Summary

The Lead Teacher is responsible for full classroom management, curriculum planning, child assessment, and compliance with Ohio DCY licensing and Step Up To Quality standards. This position ensures high-quality instruction and maintains positive relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities

    •    Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with early learning standards

    •    Maintain classroom ratios and active supervision at all times

    •    Conduct developmental screenings and ongoing child assessments

    •    Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain documentation

    •    Train and mentor Assistant Teachers

    •    Implement individualized support plans for children with IEPs or therapy services

    •    Ensure classroom compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations

    •    Maintain documentation for DCY audits and SUTQ reviews

Qualifications

    •    CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (preferred)

    •    Minimum 1–2 years of classroom experience

    •    Background check clearance (BCI/FBI)

    •    CPR/First Aid Certified

    •    Strong knowledge of child development and classroom management

Preferred Skills

    •    Experience in STEM-based or inquiry-based learning

    •    Experience with inclusive classrooms and therapy collaboration

    •    Leadership and team-building skills


Reports To: BCBA / Clinical Supervisor

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral intervention services to children diagnosed with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges. Services are delivered under the supervision of a BCBA and in collaboration with classroom staff.

Key Responsibilities

    •    Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)

    •    Collect and record accurate behavioral data

    •    Provide one-on-one support in classroom settings

    •    Support skill acquisition (communication, social, adaptive skills)

    •    Assist with de-escalation and behavior management strategies

    •    Collaborate with teaching staff and families

    •    Maintain professional and ethical standards per BACB guidelines

Qualifications

    •    Active RBT Certification (BACB)

    •    High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred)

    •    Experience working with children with ASD or behavioral needs

    •    Must pass required background checks

Preferred Skills

    •    Experience in early childhood settings

    •    Familiarity with IEP collaboration

    •    Strong communication and documentation skills 


 Reports To: Transportation Coordinator / Administrator

Position Summary

The Childcare Driver ensures safe and timely transportation of children to and from school, field trips, and program activities while maintaining compliance with Ohio DCY transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

    •    Safely transport children according to scheduled routes

    •    Conduct daily vehicle inspections and safety checks

    •    Maintain transportation logs and attendance records

    •    Ensure children are properly secured (car seats, seat belts)

    •    Maintain professional and positive interactions with families

    •    Follow all emergency procedures and safety protocols

Qualifications

    •    Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred if required by vehicle size)

    •    Clean driving record

    •    Background check clearance (BCI/FBI)

    •    CPR/First Aid certification

    •    Ability to lift and assist children as needed

Preferred Skills

    •    Experience driving for childcare or school programs

    •    Knowledge of child safety and transportation compliance
